The hibiscus is commonly offered to the Goddess Kali, Durga, and Parvati.
They are also used in the worship of the Gods like Shiva & Ganesh in the Hindu religion.
The flower is called Mandara in my mother tongue Odia. They are large and beautiful flowers. Most of the flowers are colorful too. Several varieties of hibiscus plants are available in the world.
It is a typical tropical plant. It can bloom on a seasonal basis, or it can be perennial too. It's a warm-weather plant. The above picture is from my terrace garden.
